I went to school for makeup artistry in 2011, back before social media or anyyyyy of that. In my mind I had to get an education of some sort to get hired for any kind of makeup job. At Bellus we learned more about sanitization & all of the actual hands on training came when I starting working hands on in the real world.

I worked at Macys, Sephora & for Tarte freelance, at all of those jobs is where I actually put in the work and applied makeup on all different kinds of faces. you didn’t get to pick and choose who would be sitting in your chair. Lots of mistakes were made, lots of lessons were learned and I do believe working those retail jobs did form me into the artist I am today!
I paid my dues and here I am working for myself and taking on clients that love and appreciate my work and CHOSE ME.
